TraXX is an organization dedicated to celebrating and expanding the 18XX board gaming hobby. Formed in 2018, our mission began with hosting an annual 18XX convention in Denver, Colorado—a gathering of passionate players from around the world.

TraXX “One”, April 25-28, 2019, was an amazing start to this annual tradition! Of course, the pandemic slowed us all down, but TraXX has been back “on track” since then. We’ve hosted TraXX “Re-railer” in November 2021, TraXX “Two” in May 2022, TraXX “Three” in May of 2023, TraXX “Caboose” in November of 2023, TraXX “Four” in May 2024 – and now TraXX “Five” in May of 2025!

In 2020, TraXX began offering print-and-play games, allowing enthusiasts to build their own kits. The success of 18 Los Angeles, which has logged many hundreds of plays on 18xx.games, led to widespread access. Besides the United States, 18 Los Angeles has been delivered to Poland, Sweden, Greece, France, Germany, Canada, New Zealand, Austria, South Korea, Turkey, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Australia, Brazil, The Netherlands, Romania, Finland, and Belgium—showing just how global this hobby has become!

Additionally, in a publishing partnership with GMT Games, TraXX created 18 India, an 18XX-style game that honors Francis Tresham, reimagining the innovative mechanics of his game 1829 Mainline.
